How to Make Yogurt Whips Like Yoplait!

Move over Yoplait, I have something healthier!  Sometimes, making your own food and kicking processed food to the curb can be disappointing. I have had many, many fails, but every once in awhile, one turns out just right. Such was the case with my home made yogurt whips. Although, I admit, I did this quite by accident!

I made my yogurt as usual.  I do not use a yogurt maker. If you have an oven and a mason jar you are good to go. A goat or cow helps too, but is not absolutely necessary.  Just turn on the oven and heat it to 100ish. Then turn the oven off and the light on. Pour the yogurt mix into mason jars and incubate 7-10 hours. Super easy and cheap.

The raw yogurt comes out of the oven really runny. But the gelatin and a fridge solve that problem very quickly. I add my sweetener and vanilla while the yogurt is still warm, and give the jar a good shake. Then I stick it in the fridge to gel. My favorite way to eat yogurt is to add whatever fruit I have and blend it all up in the blender. Then I drink it. No spoon necessary. Last time, I made too much, so I put it back in the fridge. It then gelled again. But this time the consistency was completely different. Delicious, light and airy and well...whipped! So that's how they do it!

A protein packed, gut pleasing fun twist to yogurt without artificial sweeteners, colors, or taste. I love it when my accidents turn into success!
